Field Trips
Just like adults children enjoy outings and mini picnics where they experience real life situations of what is taught in class. Plant nurseries, animal farms, the fire station, post office, a metro train ride, a large supermarket and other interesting getaways in the neighborhood provide opportunities for little ones to comprehend and report sometimes in words and often in illustrations the different things they observed.
A discussion before and after the field trip both investigates and reinforces the concepts that we want to expose little ones to. The experiential learning remains ingrained in their memory much more than a video or picture we show them.
